Speeding car spins out of control, crashes into a wall in Hulhumale’

A speeding car spun out of control and crashed into the outer wall of a building in a road accident in Hulhumale’ in the early hours of this Monday.

Maldives Police Service says the accident took place at approximately 1 am.

According to the police, the private car had been speeding from East to West down Boshimaa Hingun when it spun out of control and crashed into the outer wall of the Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) office headquarters in Hulhumale’.

There were no passengers on board when the accident took place, and the driver of the vehicle, identified as a 22-year-old Maldivian male, was unharmed.

The accident has resulted in extensive damage to the front of the vehicle, as well as damaged to MWSC’s wall.

The police report the driver does not possess a driver’s license and has been placed under arrest.

Records released by the Hulhumale’ Police Station last Sunday show nine road accidents took place in Hulhumale’ last week alone.
