16 percent reduction in sexual offenses in 2025

Statistics publicized by Maldives Police Service show that there was a 16 percent reduction in sexual offenses investigated by the authority in 2025 compared to the year before that. According to the statistics, the Police investigated 270 cases related to sexual offenses in 2025, marking a reduction of 51 cases from 321 cases related to sexual offenses investigated in 2024. Thus, this
