3 expats arrested for illegal foreign currency trade

The Maldives Police Service has arrested three Bangladeshi nationals suspected of engaging in the unauthorized or black market foreign currency trade.  The arrests were prompted by a tip-off to a dedicated hotline established to report illegal foreign exchange activities. The Police identified the detained individuals as Amir Hussain, MD Mizan ul-Rahman, and Siraj Khan, noting they were taken into custody on Monday.
