Two men seriously injured in another dangerous Phase II accident

An elderly man and a young man are being treated for another dangerous accident in the second phase of Hulhumale', police said Monday.

Police said a car and a motorcycle collided at the intersection of Heenaamaa Hingun and Dhunburigas Magu in Hulhumale' at 7:44 am on Monday.

A 62-year-old man and a 24-year-old man sustained serious injuries in the accident, according to police.

The two are being treated at Hulhumale' Hospital. Police did not disclose details of the injuries sustained.

Police are investigating the incident.

A nine-year-old girl was seriously injured in a fatal accident near the Vinares Flats in the second phase of Hulhumale' on Saturday night. The child remains on a ventilator in the ICU.

The accident occurred when a pedestrian was hit by a motorcycle travelling on the road with the child, while the pedestrian was attempting to get into a car parked near Vinares Seven, Hithigas Magu, Phase II, Hulhumale'.

The victim’s 18-year-old aunt was riding the motorcycle. She was also treated for serious injuries.
