MTCC double-deck bus involved in collision that injured motorcycle rider

A man was injured in a collision between an MTCC bus and a motorcycle on Wednesday evening in Male' city.

Police said the accident was reported at 07:07 pm near the Maafannu Bus Terminal when an MTCC bus collided with a motorcycle.

The rider of the motorcycle sustained injuries and was taken to IGMH for treatment, police said.

Police are investigating the incident.

A video of the accident has been circulating on social media. According to the video, the collision involved an MTCC double-deck bus and a motorcycle. Police officers were also seen deployed to manage traffic in the area.

There have been similar bus-related accidents in the past that have resulted in injuries.
