Taraweeh to be performed in congregation in prisons

Taraweeh prayer will be officially performed in mosques in all Maldivian prisons in a first this Ramadan, says Maldives Correctional Service. Taraweeh is a voluntary night prayer performed during Ramadan. In a post on X on Tuesday, Correctional Service announced that hafizes have been appointed to lead official congregational Taraweeh prayers in mosques in prisons. The Service added that the hafizes will also
