Police seeks help to ID people involved in Hulhumale’ hit-and-run

The police have made a public appeal, seeking help to identify and locate a group of people who were involved in a hit-and-run in Hulhumale’ Phase I.

 

The police shared a video of the group of people on Tuesday.

The accident appears to involve a young woman who crashed her motorbike into back of a private car parked on the side of the road.

Another person appears to help her pick up the motorbike from the ground. Some of the vehicles drive past, while others, at least half a dozen people, stop. The woman is then seen getting back on the motorbike and driving away.

According to the police, the people seen on the video failed to report the accident and left the scene.

The police did not say when the accident took place.

The case is under investigation by the Hulhumale’ Phase I Police Station.

Police have asked anyone with information regarding the individuals seen in the video to contact the police station at 9980062.

The police took the opportunity to thank the public for their cooperation in such matters.
