Man injured in dangerous car-motorcycle collision near Male' City Food Court

A man was injured in a car-motorcycle collision near the Food Court on Izzuddin Magu late Wednesday night.

The area is usually busy, and photos obtained by Sun show the aftermath of the crash: the motorcycle lying across the opposite lane and broken parts scattered beneath the front of the car.

A Sun journalist at the scene reported that police arrived around 00:20. The motorcyclist is believed to have been injured in the collision.

He sustained head injuries and was seen bleeding from multiple areas. He was transported to hospital by ambulance.

Police have not yet commented on the incident.

Accidents are common in the Male’ City area, with several resulting in serious injuries and fatalities. According to police statistics, traffic accidents are the second-highest category of reports this year, with 1,794 cases recorded so far.
