1 injured in Dhiffushi fight undergoes surgery

The man who sustained serious injuries in the fight in K. Dhiffushi last Wednesday night has undergone surgery at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) in Male' City.

IGMH reports that he sustained serious injuries to his hands and that he underwent surgery to one of his hands this Thursday morning.

“His condition is improving. He will be discharged within a few days,” said IGMH.

The second party injured in the fight did not sustain any serious injuries and was after medical treatment at Dhiffushi Health Center on Wednesday night.

The fight broke out when some of the locals formed a mob and attempted to capture a thief.
