His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Mansour bin Mutaib bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Minister of State, and Cabinet Member of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, paid a courtesy call on President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on Saturday.
The meeting took place at the Presidential Palace.
Prince Dr. Mansour is visiting the Maldives as the Guest of Honour at the official celebrations marking the 61st Independence Day of the Maldives. He is attending the ceremony on behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, at the invitation of President Muizzu. Upon arrival in Male’, His Royal Highness was accorded a ceremonial welcome.
During the meeting, President Muizzu warmly welcomed Prince Dr. Mansour and expressed his sincere appreciation to the leadership of Saudi Arabia for accepting the invitation to participate in the Independence Day celebrations. He also thanked the Kingdom for its continued support to the Maldives, particularly through the Makkah Route Initiative, which has significantly eased travel for Maldivian pilgrims.

Prince Dr. Mansour highlighted the special importance the Saudi leadership has always attached to the development and prosperity of the Maldives.
Discussions focused on strengthening the longstanding brotherly relationship between the two countries, grounded in shared faith, mutual respect and common values. The two sides also explored opportunities to expand cooperation in trade, investment, economic development and other areas of mutual interest.
