All Maldivian pilgrims have arrived at the plains of Arafat for the greatest ritual of hajj.
The 20 buses carrying the pilgrims left for Arafat around 11:00 pm Monday Maldivian time, arriving at dawn.
The Maldives Hajj Mission previously stated one pilgrim had fallen ill, and was hospitalized in Mina.
But in a statement on Tuesday morning, the Hajj Mission announced that all Maldivian pilgrims, including the one who was previously hospitalized, have now arrived at Arafat.
The pilgrims will stand on Mount Arafat and the surrounding plains from sunrise until sunset, engaging in chants, remembrance, and prayers.
The arrival of midday will see the delivery of the sermon for the Day of Arafat. Then, the pilgrims will perform the combined and shortened prayers for Dhuhr and Asr, following the tradition of Prophet Muhammad.
And as the sun sets, the pilgrims will begin to move towards Muzdalifah, where they perform the combined and shortened prayers for Maghrib and Isha.
