Sudden stop on Sinamalé Bridge triggers three‑car pile‑up; no injuries reported

Three cars were damaged in an accident on the Sinamale' Bridge on Monday afternoon after a vehicle stopped suddenly in the middle of the bridge.

Police told Sun the incident occurred when a car came to a stop, causing three vehicles behind it to lose control and collide.

The accident was reported at 12:27pm, according to police.

A total of four cars sustained varying degrees of damage, but no injuries were reported.

Police said they are investigating the incident further.

A video showing the damaged vehicles at the time of the crash has been circulating on social media.

Police continue to advise motorists to exercise caution on the Sinamale' Bridge and Highway, noting that the area is frequently busy. The bridge has seen several dangerous accidents in the past.
