A delegation from the Investment Ministry of Saudi Arabia arrived on an official visit to the Maldives.
The delegation was welcomed upon arrival at the Velana International Airport on early Tuesday by the Saudi Ambassador to the Maldives, Yahya Al-Qahtani.
According to a statement issued by the Saudi embassy, the delegation is headed by Sarah Al-Sayed, the Deputy Minister of Investment for International Relations. She is accompanied by officials from the Saudi government and private sector.
The embassy said that the visit aims to discuss investment partnership opportunities between Saudi Arabia and the Maldives, with a focus on enhancing and facilitating mutual investments between the two countries.

Saudi Arabia is a key developmental partner for the Maldives, providing funding for major infrastructure development projects including the VIA expansion project.
