Ungoofaaru gains jurisdiction of Ungulu

The uninhabited island Ungulu in Raa Atoll has been brought under the jurisdiction of Ungoofaaru, following a decision by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, the President’s Office has confirmed on Thursday. The move comes after Ungoofaaru residents requested an uninhabited island to support various industrial and economic activities planned for the island. During a visit to Ungoofaaru on March 3, 2024, President Muizzu
