During his ongoing state visit to Maldives, Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake held discussions with various ministers and senior officials from several institutions.
President Dissanayake, who is currently in Male at the invitation of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, met with Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed, Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullah Khaleel, Finance Minister Moosa Zameer, Defense Minister Mohamed Ghassan Maumoon, Homeland Security Minister Ali Ihusaan, and Parliament’s Deputy Speaker Ahmed Nazim.
President Dissanayake also convened with several senior police, army, and immigration officials.

According to statements from the official X accounts of the Foreign Ministry, Finance Ministry, and Defense Ministry, these meetings focused on strengthening bilateral relations in areas pertinent to the respective ministries.
President Dissanayake's visit to Maldives is scheduled to conclude on Wednesday. During the visit, two agreements were formalized between the two nations.
Maldives established diplomatic relations with Sri Lanka on July 26, 1965, thereby commemorating the 60th anniversary of the bilateral relationship this year.
This visit marks President Dissanayake's inaugural trip to Maldives since assuming office in September 2024.
