Young woman arrested with 14 kilos of drugs

Maldives Police Service has arrested a young woman with 14 kilos of drugs during a counter-narcotics operation.

Mariyam Zeena, 23, Aahiya, HA. Thuraakunu, was arrested in connection to over 14 kilos of drugs seized from an apartment in Hulhumale’ Phase II. The drugs were discovered by the Police during a search carried out under a court order on Wednesday. 

Zeena has been remanded in custody by the court for 15 days.

No further details regarding the case have been disclosed by the Police as they investigate the case further.
