Hinna Khalid has been appointed as a deputy minister at the Foreign Affairs Ministry, just a day after she resigned from her previous position as the permanent secretary at the Homeland Security Ministry.
Hinna was appointed to the new post on Tuesday – just a day after she left the Homeland Security Ministry.
Hinna was appointed as the Homeland Security Ministry’s PS on June 6. She did not provide a reason for her decision to resign.
Hinna had previously served as the spokesperson at the Homeland Security Ministry.
She also served as an undersecretary at the President’s Office during former president Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik’s administration.
Hinna has a Master of Business Administration (MBA). She also holds a Diploma in Social Science Research, and a Diploma in PHC Management.
