MDP to hold congress on September 19th

The main opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has approved a resolution to hold its congress on September 19. The proposal to convene the congress on that date was submitted by MDP’s Chairperson, former President Mohamed Nasheed during the party's National Council meeting held on Saturday night. The resolution to hold the congress on September 19 was approved with 52 votes in favor.
