Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) is set to introduce a cash card for Ghiyasuddin International School (GIS) students to enhance financial literacy among students.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) pertaining to the matter was signed during a special ceremony held at GIS, by MIB’s CEO Mufaddal Idris Khumri and GIS’ Principal Thoha Saleem.
As part of the MoU, MIB will introduce ‘Aaila’ cards to students of GIS which is designed to aid in financial management, offering practical tools for young learners to understand and manage their finances effectively.
“The Aailaa cards will serve as a tangible resource for students to develop essential money management skills early on,” stressed MIB.
Parents will have control over the card which can only be utilized under certain limits.
MIB will also deliver educational programs focused on financial literacy to students with the aim of equipping them with knowledge regarding savings, investments and budgeting to foster a stronger understanding of financial concepts.
