Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has been awarded the prestigious Women’s Leadership Award for Career Advancement 2026 by Cambridge IFA, in recognition of the bank’s efforts to advance women’s careers and expand leadership opportunities within the institution.

The award highlights MIB’s exemplary performance in supporting the professional growth of women and creating an enabling environment for female employees to lead and excel across key areas of the bank.

In addition to this achievement, five women leaders from MIB have been featured in the Wumanai Report 2026, a global publication that profiles outstanding women in Islamic finance. They were included for their contributions to the financial services sector, their leadership initiatives, and their achievements in strengthening Islamic finance in the Maldives.

MIB said the recognition reflects the dedication and hard work of its talented female employees, who continue to play a vital role in the bank’s progress and success.

The bank stated that it remains committed to nurturing talent, providing leadership opportunities without discrimination, and empowering women at all levels of the organisation.
