MIB extends deadline for Guesthouse Awards applications to September 14

Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has extended the deadline for applications for the MIB Guesthouse Awards 2026.

The deadline, which was previously due to expire on Monday, has now been extended until 11:59 pm on Monday, 14th of this month.

The bank said the award aims to promote local tourism in Maldives and to recognize outstanding island-level service providers, guesthouses and islands contributing to the sector.

The awards will feature 20 awards across three categories.

These include 16 awards for guesthouses in two tiers, three individual awards for tourism professionals, and an award for the most outstanding island under the title “Guest House Tourism Champion Island.”

The evaluation of the awards, endorsed by the Guesthouse Association, will be conducted independently by Crow Maldives Advisory.

Eligible candidates are therefore advised to submit their applications with the required documents before 23:59 pm on the 14th of this month.
