MIB Guesthouse Awards applications close tonight

Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has reminded that the application deadline for the "MIB Guesthouse Awards 2026" is at 23:59pm tonight.

The prestigious awards program aims to promote local tourism in the Maldives and recognise outstanding service providers at the island level, including guesthouses and islands that have made significant contributions to the tourism industry.

A total of 20 awards will be presented across three main categories. These comprise 16 guesthouse awards divided into two tiers, three individual awards recognising professionals in the tourism sector, and a special "Guesthouse Tourism Champion Island" award for the most outstanding island.

According to MIB, the awards are endorsed by the Guesthouse Association of Maldives, while the evaluation process will be conducted independently by Crowe Maldives Advisory.

MIB has therefore urged all eligible applicants to submit their applications, along with the required documentation, before the deadline tonight.
