Sun Siyam Resorts among companies most frequently donating blood

Sun Siyam Resorts has been listed among the companies that held the most blood donation camps in collaboration with Maldivian Blood Services over the past four years.

Health Ministry held a special ceremony on Thursday night to launch a special application for blood donation, ‘Ley’, and recognize and appreciate individuals who donate blood.

Five companies that held the most blood donation camps were honored during the ceremony. They are:

• Sun Siyam Resorts
• Alia Investment Private Limited
• Gililankanfushi Maldives
• Vilamendhoo Island Resort and Spa
• Maldivian Red Crescent

Sun Siyam Resorts has been holding annual blood drives in celebration of its anniversary since 2015. The company was forced to suspend the initiative during the Covid-19 pandemic, but resumed it again, last year.

The blood donation drive was held successfully this year as well with the participation of staff from five resorts under the Sun Siyam umbrella and its head office.
