Motorcyclist sustains serious injuries in highway accident

A car and motorcycle collided in a dangerous accident on the Hulhumale’ Highway on Thursday, resulting in serious injuries to one.

The accident took place Thursday afternoon.

Both vehicles had been headed from Hulhumale’ to Male’ when they collided.

The motorcyclist, identified as a Maldivian male, sustained serious injuries in the accident and was transported to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) in Male’.

A spokesperson from IGMH told Sun that his condition is serious.

IGMH declined to disclose details of the injuries.
