Police issue warning over increase in thefts from cargo trucks

Police issued an advisory on Monday, warning of an increase in thefts targeting cargo trucks. 

Police said the thefts are taking place when the cargo trucks are waiting on the road. 

The latest such crime reported to the police involved the theft of cigarette cartons from a truck, said the police. 

Police have advised workers involved in delivery of cargo to take precautions and remain alert.
