Companies awarded projects to build classrooms in three islands

Education Ministry has awarded projects to build classrooms in public schools in three islands; HDh. Kumundhoo School, Sh. Funadhoo School, and N. Atoll Madhrasa. 

The three projects are collectively valued at MVR 42 million. 

The project agreements were signed on Wednesday. 

The project to build 12 classrooms in Kumundhoo School was awarded to Wavelength Pvt. Ltd. The project is valued at MVR 12.6 million. The company is required to complete the project in 365 days. 

The project to build 15 classrooms in Funadhoo School was awarded to Swift Engineering Pvt. Ltd. The project is valued at MVR 15.3 million. The company is required to complete the project in 360 days. 

Meanwhile, the project to construct a three-story building in the N. Atoll Madharsa located in Manadhoo was awarded to Mims Construction Pvt. Ltd. The project is valued at MVR 15.3 million. The company is required to complete the project in 360 days. 

According to Education Ministry, the projects are part of the government’s efforts to solve the shortage of space in public schools.
