Riyaz appointed as MNP’s Parliamentary Group Leader, Usham appointed as Deputy Leader

Thimarafushi MP Abdulla Riyaz and Vilimale’ MP Ahmed Usham have been appointed as the Leader and Deputy Leader of Maldives National Party’s (MNP) Parliamentary Group – respectively.  

MP Usham has confirmed the appointment to Sun.

Following the listing of MNP on Elections Commission’s register of political parties in the Maldives – MNP has also been listed in the Parliament’s register of political parties.

At present – there are three sitting parliamentarians who belong to MNP; MP Riyaz, MP Usham and MNP’s Leader, Dhangethi MP Colonel (Retired) Mohamed Nazim.

MNP was officially registered as a political party on last Monday.
