Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been contracted to build sub-bases of football pitches in three more islands; R. Dhuvaafaru, G. A. Vilingili, and S. Hulhudhoo.

Construction of the sub-bases at the three islands is estimated to cost MVR 7.5 million. MTCC has been contracted to start construction working within the next 14 days, and to complete the construction within the next 60 days.

MTCC was also contracted to build sub-bases of football pitches in seven more islands earlier this September; L. Gan, G. Dh. Thinadhoo, Th. Thimarafushi, V. Keyodhoo, H. A. Hoarafushi, S. Feydhoo and Fuvahmulah City.

Speaking at the signing ceremony this Monday, Mahloof said that the projects were awarded to MTCC because it already had the resources to undertake the construction work. He noted that the construction work required the utilization of multiple vehicles and machinery – making such projects difficult for other companies with limited resources to undertake.
