Government signs MVR 1.5 million agreement with RDC to upgrade Galolhu futsal stadium

The Road Development Corporation (RDC) has been awarded the contract to develop the Galolhu futsal stadium in Male’ City at a cost of MVR 1.5 million, with the project to be completed within 120 days.

A ceremony was held this morning at the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sports and Fitness to sign the agreement for the futsal stadium project.

Youth Minister Abdulla Rafiu signed the agreement on behalf of the ministry, while RDC Managing Director Ibrahim Nazeem signed on behalf of the corporation.

The total cost of the project is MVR 1,521,283.60.

The existing futsal field in the area will be redeveloped into a futsal stadium adjacent to the Sinamale' Flats. Although there are several futsal stadiums in the Male' region, most are not under government management and are operated by club associations.
