Authorities dispose of 79 unclaimed towed vehicles

Maldives Police Service, this Saturday, disposed of 79 vehicles which remained unclaimed at the tow yard.

Vehicles which violate the Land Transport Regulation are towed by the Traffic Police and taken to the tow yard. Owners of the vehicles are required to pay a penalty to reclaim towed vehicles, and vehicles which aren’t reclaimed within the given period of time are disposed of by Maldives Police Service.

The agency confirms it disposed of 79 vehicles this Saturday.

THE VEHICLES WHICH WERE DISPOSED OF:

• 64 motorcycles
• 10 four-wheeled vehicles
• 5 bicycles
