Tidal swells have resulted in flooding in parts of the capital, Male’ City.

The worst hit locations this Saturday morning were the Alimas Carnival and Raalhugandu – both located in the Henveyru district.

Flood water in the two locations seeped onto the roads.

Huge tidal swells also hit the Raalhugandu and Artificial beach later in the afternoon. Tidal swells which hit Artificial Beach resulted in sand and flood water seeping onto Boduthakurufaanu Magu.
