New chairman for Ooredoo Maldives

Ooredoo Maldives has appointed a new chairman to its board, following the resignation of their former chair.

Khalid Ibrahim Al Mahmood resigned from Ooredoo Maldives' board for him retirement this March.

Yesterday, Ooredoo Maldives revealed the appointment of new chairman Damian Philip Chappel, effective from 1st April 2019.

Chappel, an Australian National, is the Chief Consumer Officer of Ooredoo Qatar, and was nominated to Ooredoo Maldives' board by the company's majority shareholdeer Wataniya International FZ, LLC.

Chappel received education from the fields of Applied Science and IT, and has 17 years of experience in telecommunication.
