EyeCare Hospital has partnered with India’s leading eye hospital - Chaithanya Eye Hospital to offer patients in the Maldives an opportunity to consult visiting eye specialists locally, reducing the need to travel abroad for specialist consultation.

According to EyeCare, Dr. Manoj S., Senior Consultant and Vitreoretinal Surgeon, and Dr. Harikrishnan CP, Consultant Phaco, Cataract & Glaucoma Surgeon providing cataract and intraocular lens services, will consult at EyeCare Hospital on Orchid Magu, Malé, from October 11 – 15.

Consultations will run daily from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

EyeCare says that Aasandha and other insurance coverage is applicable for consultations with both visiting doctors.

Patients can contact EyeCare for details on consultation fees and coverage.

Chaithanya Eye Hospital brings over 30 years of experience in specialized eye care. Through this partnership, EyeCare makes its specialists more accessible to Maldivian patients, including those who have previously sought care at Chaithanya and others seeking a specialist assessment or opinion.

EyeCare says the visit will focus on consultations and screening. Following the assessments, the doctors will identify patients requiring further care, with return visits planned for follow-up consultations and surgeries at EyeCare, subject to clinical assessment and the facilities required.

For procedures that cannot be performed locally, patients will be referred to Chaithanya Eye Hospital in India. EyeCare can assist with coordinating appointments, flights and accommodation, helping patients arrange their care journey from the Maldives.

The partnership enables access to internationally recognized eye specialists in the Maldives, eliminating the additional travel costs for these consultations and giving patients the opportunity to discuss their condition and understand their treatment options before making arrangements for further care.

Appointments are now open for the five-day consultation period.

EyeCare encourages patients to book in advance and bring previous medical reports, prescriptions and relevant eye investigation results.

Patients can book appointments by calling 3321026, or contacting EyeCare at 72 1026 via Viber or WhatsApp, or from the website.
