It is noteworthy that the four‑lane junction in front of the Voice of Maldives has already been repaired and paved. Under former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s administration, the Planning Ministry awarded the Ameenee Magu redevelopment contract to RDC for MVR 84.4 million, and the last segment was completed two years ago.
However, the asphalt in the Harbor Food Court area soon began to bulge and form bumps, causing serious inconvenience to motorists and drawing public criticism. The ongoing redevelopment works are aimed at resolving these issues and restoring safe road conditions.
