16-strong PNC PG delegation visits Pakistan

A large delegation of lawmakers from the People’s National Congress (PNC), led by Abdul Raheem Abdulla, the speaker of Maldivian parliament and chairperson of the ruling party, departed for Pakistan on Monday on an official visit.

According to the PNC, the delegation is led by Abdul Raheem and composed of 15 other lawmakers from the party, including the party’s vice president and senior deputy leader of parliamentary group Ibrahim Shujau.

PNC says that the delegation was visiting at the invitation of the Pakistani parliament.

“During this visit, the delegation will visit and meet with the members of the Pakistani parliament and exchange experiences and opinions,” added the PNC.

Abdul Raheem had also made an official visit to Pakistan back in September last year, during which he met with senior government officials.
