Rider admitted to ICU after motorcycle plunges into sea during L. Gan racing tournament

A young man has been admitted to the ICU after a motorcycle went out of control and fell into the sea with the rider during the ‘Racing Championship – Laamu Edition’ held in L. Gan on Saturday.

Police said they received a report at 09:54 am on Saturday, September 19, that a motorcycle had lost control and plunged into the sea with the driver. The rider, a 20-year-old man, sustained injuries in the incident.

He is currently being treated in the ICU of L. Gan Regional Hospital.

Police said they are investigating the cause of the accident and are conducting further inquiries into the incident.
