A migrant worker was injured after falling from a building under construction on an island being developed as a resort in Maldives.

Police said the incident was reported at 15:58 pm on Monday from R. Fuggiri. According to the agency, a 25-year-old Bangladeshi man fell from a height of about 25 feet while working on the building.

He is being treated at Ungoofaaru Regional Hospital. Police said the man’s condition is not serious.

Police are investigating the incident.

There have been similar accidents in the past at construction sites. In April, a 30-year-old expatriate man died after falling from a building in the city.
