Nasheed’s brother, Nazim injured in stabbing in Male’

Ahmed Nazim Abdul Sattar, the younger brother of former President Mohamed Nasheed, was injured on Friday night in a stabbing in Male’ City.

The police stated that they were notified at 12:09 am Saturday regarding a person being taken to the ADK Hospital with stab wounds.

The police identified the victim only as a 49-year-old Maldivian male.

However, Sun is able to confirm that it was Nazim, an attorney-at-law.

The extent of his injuries is unclear at this point.

The police have also not provided any details regarding the circumstances of the attack, or whether they have any suspects.

The case is under investigation by the police.
