Ministry of Education of Saudi Arabia has opened applications for international students to pursue higher education in the country through the "Study in Saudi" portal.
This initiative presents a significant opportunity for students worldwide seeking to further their academic careers.
In a post shared on X by the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in the Maldives on Tuesday, the mission confirmed that applications are now being accepted across a wide range of academic disciplines. Under this program, a substantial number of students from around the world will be admitted to leading universities in Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi Ministry of Education has invited interested candidates to visit the portal, review the specified eligibility criteria, and complete their registration. The platform is designed as a modern, user-friendly system to streamline the application process for international students.
Through the "Study in Saudi" portal, applicants can access detailed information on available programs and admission requirements across multiple institutions. The offerings include Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD programs in a broad array of fields, including Science, Technology, Engineering, Management, and Islamic Studies.
Saudi Arabia is currently undertaking extensive efforts to strengthen its education sector and enhance the global standing of its universities. Expanding scholarship opportunities for international students is a central component of the Kingdom’s "Vision 2030" initiative, under which significant investments are being made to position Saudi universities as world-class centers of academic excellence.
Historically, many Maldivian students have pursued higher education at universities in Saudi Arabia. While studies have traditionally focused on Islamic Shari'ah and the Arabic language, academic opportunities have since broadened to include diverse disciplines such as Science and Technology.
