Police search Adhadhu newsroom under court order over documentary on President

Police have begun searching the office of the media company Adhadhu in connection with a documentary produced by the outlet.

On the 28th of last month, Adhadhu published a documentary based on an interview given by an anonymous individual.

Adhadhu reported that police entered its office with a court order on Monday evening. According to the order, police intervened in relation to the documentary, the outlet’s journalists said.

Police said the search was conducted under a court order in connection with a case under investigation. No further details were provided.

During his weekly press conference, the President said he would look into false allegations made about him.
