Promotions for officers serving in the atolls will be conducted in their respective areas.
Speaking at the ceremony, Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohamed said that receiving a higher rank comes with greater responsibility and demands stronger professional conduct. He urged officers to uphold ethical standards and lead by example.
“The first basic trait that is seen is the discipline of the people who are serving. Without discipline, there is nothing we can do for the people,” the Commissioner said.
He also assured that the leadership will prioritise promotions, honours, colours and medals for officers who qualify under the rules and regulations, without withholding the rights of any employee.
