PCB appoints four members to the Visit Maldives board, adding new expertise from tourism and finance sectors

Four members have been appointed to the Board of Directors of Visit Maldives Corporation Limited.

The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) announced on Sunday that four new directors have been appointed to the board of Visit Maldives.

The directors appointed to Visit Maldives Corporation are:  

  • Hudha Faheem, Vilares/ K. Thulusdhoo  

  • Aishath Malha, Rasveli/ R. Rasgetheemu  

  • Ali Shinan, Ma. Rihiraalhu/ Male' City  

  • Aishath Ali, M. Vaarey‑villa/ Male' City

Hudha most recently served as a communication specialist in the Project Management Unit of the Ministry of Finance. Malha, appointed in the field of Accounting and Finance, is an analyst in the Treasury Management section of the Ministry of Finance.

Aishath Ali is the Director General at the Ministry of Tourism, while Ali Shinan is the Deputy Director General of the Ministry.

In addition to the directors appointed on Sunday, the board of Visit Maldives includes Chairman Abdulla Ghiyas Riyaz and CEO and Managing Director Ibrahim Shiuree. The board also includes four non‑executive directors and one executive director.

Visit Maldives was established on March 4, 2010, as the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC). The corporation was registered with the Ministry of Economic Development on August 14, 2011.

The name MMPRC was changed to Visit Maldives Corporation Limited on July 13 last year.
