Maldives Police Service has successfully recovered a total of MVR 619,048 concerning multiple theft and robbery cases reported from Malé and Hulhumalé.
These funds and recovered through investigations carried out over various cases.
According to statistical data released by the Police, MVR 335,338 was recovered from various locations in Malé between April 15th and April 21st: an outcome attributed to the dedicated efforts of police teams operating in Galolhu, Henveiru, and Maafannu.

Additionally, policing teams in Hulhumalé Phase I and Phase II recovered a total of MVR 283,710 through operations related crimes in these areas.
The Police states the total amount includes both recovered cash and the estimated market value of stolen property that has been retrieved.
The Police continue to pursue these cases diligently, with the aim of returning recovered funds and items to their rightful owners.
In light of a recent increase in theft and robbery incidents, authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and to take appropriate precautions to safeguard their personal belongings.
