Police seek help to ID suspect in Male’ hit-and-run

The police have made a public appeal, seeking help to identify and locate a man involved in an accident in Male’ City that injured a woman.

The police shared CCTV footage of the suspect on Wednesday.

According to the police, the man hit a woman who was crossing the road with his motorcycle, but failed to stop.

The woman in question was crossing the Majeedhee Magu from near the Athama Palace.

The video shared by the police show a man driving a lack Honda Air Blade hitting a woman who was crossing the road near a zebra crossing. The woman is seen falling to the ground, as the man drives away without stopping.

The police have appealed for public assistance in identifying and locating the suspect.

Police have asked anyone with information regarding the individual seen in the video or anyone who witnessed the accident to contact the Traffic Investigation Department at 9444880.

The police took the opportunity to thank the public for their cooperation in such matters.
