Saudi Arabia has launched its annual Ramadan program in the Maldives, an initiative implemented every year under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
The program was officially inaugurated by the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the Maldives, Yahya bin Hassan Al‑Qahtani, at a ceremony attended by Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed and senior officials from both countries.
The program is carried out under the supervision of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance.
The initiative forms part of a global Ramadan assistance program funded by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the official title of the King of Saudi Arabia, which supports iftar distribution and religious activities in Muslim communities worldwide.

According to the Saudi Embassy in Male', this year’s program will continue to distribute Ramadan iftar meals across various parts of the Maldives, supporting communities during the holy month and strengthening long-standing ties between the two countries.
The embassy noted that the initiative reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to fostering Islamic solidarity and enhancing cooperation with the Maldives in religious and humanitarian fields.
