MDP candidate wins Vaikaradhoo council by-elections

Main ruling Maldivian Democratic Party’s (MDP) candidate has been declared the winner in the by-election held to elect a candidate for the vacant post of female councilor in HDh. Vaikaradhoo Council. MDP’s candidate Fathimath Shizna won the by-election held on Saturday with 283 votes in total. Meanwhile, her opponent, Adhaalath Party’s candidate Fathimath Nazla, secured 258 votes. The by-election was called for
