WDC by-elections to be held in five islands

Elections Commission (EC) has announced the decision to hold Women’s Development Committee by-elections in five islands. The islands are: HA. Vashafaru Sh. Lhaimagu Sh. Komandoo K. Thulusdhoo AA. Thoddoo Elections Commission’s chairman Fuad Thaufeeq told Sun the by-elections will cost MVR 750,000. The by-elections are being held following resignation of WDC members in the islands. Two members have resigned from Komandoo WDC, and one each from the rest
