BML opens USD ATM centre in Thoddoo

Bank of Maldives (BML), on Wednesday, has opened a USD ATM centre in AA. Thoddoo.

The bank also held the groundbreaking ceremony for a BML branch on the island on Wednesday.

Both ceremonies were attended by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu as part of his ongoing tour of Alifu Alifu Atoll, cabinet ministers and the bank’s CEO, Managing Director Mohamed Shareef, board directors and senior officials.

Speaking during the ceremony, BML’s CEO, Managing Director Mohamed Shareef said the bank is pleased to expand its services in Thoddoo to support the island’s thriving local tourism industry and its unique agritourism sector

“We launched our ATM services in Thoddoo five years ago and today, with the new USD ATM, businesses and residents alike can now enjoy convenient access to USD, without having to travel to another island,” he said.

Shareef added that the new branch, expected to be complete next year, will bring the bank’s full suite of services to Thoddoo.

With the installation of a new USD ATM in Thoddoo, BML now offers USD ATM services in Malé City, Kulhudhuffushi City, Addu City, Velana International Airport, and K. Maafushi.

BML operates an extensive nationwide network, including 41 branches across all 20 atolls, 144 Self-Service Banking Centres, 201 ATMs, a robust Agent Banking network, and cutting-edge Digital Banking solutions.
