Sinan appointed as MTCC's new COO

Board director Sinan Ali has been appointed as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).

Sinan, a former longtime board director at the MTCC, was appointed to the new role last week.

He had previously also served on the board of other state-owned enterprises, including as the chairman of State Electric Company (STELCO), and as a director at Island Aviation.

Sinan has also worked extensively in the media field. He joined the field as a journalist at ‘Miadhu’, and went on to work at ‘Haveeru’ and as the Chief Executive Officer of Sun Media Group. He currently serves as the CEO of ‘One Online.’

In 2015, he received the National Award of Recognition for his contributions to the media industry.
