The Privatization and Corporatization Board (MIFCO) has posted a new vacancy announcement seeking a Chief Executive Officer for the Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO), offering a higher salary than offered in the original announcement.
In an announcement posted on the Government Gazette on Sunday, the PCB said it is looking to recruit a talented and dedicated CEO who shares a passion for sustainability and innovation in the fisheries sector.
The post of MIFCO CEO has been vacant since May 21, when Ahmed Samah Rasheed was dismissed from the post and appointed as a State Minister at the Fisheries Ministry.
PCB had originally opened applications for the vacancy on June 26, but cancelled it citing lack of eligible applications.
The original vacancy announcement had offered a monthly pay of USD 9,500 and USD 12,000. The new announcement offers a higher pay, within the range of USD 12,000-USD 15,000.
Eligible candidates were asked to submit their Expressions of Interest (EoI) via email to [email protected] or [email protected] by 02:00 pm on October 8, Maldivian time.
