Fenaka appoints 'Rukuma' Mohamed as new DMD

Fenaka Corporation on Monday, has appointed Mohamed Abdul Kareem ("Rukuma") as the new Deputy Managing Director following the exit of Ibrahim Naif from the position.

Fenaka's media official confirmed Naif's exit to 'Sun' Online, but did not specify his resignation date.

Fenaka confirmed the new appointment, and thanked the outgoing Deputy MD for his dedication and exceptional contributions to the company.

Mohamed Abdul Kareem has been the Deputy MD of Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) prior to his current appointment.

Politically prominent, the new Fenaka DMD has been a former Henveiru constituency lawmaker of the parliament as well.

After his defeat at the Maldivian Democratic Party's (MDP) primaries in 2019, Mohamed exited the party and joined Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) in 2021.
